US Airways Flight 1549

Post by David »

Appears that the plane has struck a flock of birds & lost power to both engines. Great job by the flight crew!!

I received an email with some pictures taken by the crane operator of them removing the aircraft from the river. It looks like it is in good shape considering what it went through.
Also, here is the NTSB preliminary report: http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/brief.asp?ev_i ... 3226&key=1.

Fab pics. This was an amazing piece of crewmanship (not sure there is such a word!) I for one would have been happy them to have been flying my plane that day!
